Hi Angie, Thanks for sharing about your sale. I will go ahead and link to the coupon you have on your facebook page from the Centsible In Seattle Facebook page. The items look beautiful!
Hi Angie,
I love your site! Do you have a mailing list? I just liked your page on Facebook but I’d love to sign up for a mailing list if you have one. You’re providing a great service to the Seattle community.
On top of Beer2Buds.com, we also just started helping local businesses run their own social promotions and mobile coupons. Our website to find the current promotions and sign up for future promotions is here – http://my.promobomb.com/promotions/seattle
We aren’t a daily deal site, we help businesses use their own promotional tool. Our merchant website for businesses to sign up is http://www.promobomb.com.
What is the best way to work with you to get the word out about our new Seattle-area coupons? We have only 2 right now but many more to come.
Again, this is a great concept and very helpful, thank you!
Libby
Hi Libby, thanks for the note. I do have a mailing list. It looks like there was an issue when I updated the site and my RSS feed an email subscription apparently is not working right now (thank you for bringing that to my attention). Hope to have it fixed in the next day. I will check out the site you mention above and certainly post on any great deals for Seattle!
Hi, I just saw that a Lynette won the photo book from photobin. Not sure if it was me because I didn’t get an email but I thought I would check because I entered it. Never know when something accidentally gets sent to junk box and missed!
I do need it resent. I never saw it. You can also try lynettejpierce at gmail dot com. Sometimes it will work on that one when it won’t work on the hotmail and vise versa. Thanks!
Hi Amber, I do. Thrifty NW Mom (www.thriftynwmom.com) typically has the Fred Meyer posts up by early Sunday. Check out her blog for those match ups on a weekly basis.
I live in Renton, WA and found a great deal with the BIC mark-it permanent markers coupon from last month ($5 off expires 6/22 or 6/23). Staples has the 36 count fine tip permanent set on sale for $10 on their website (cashier adjusted my price to match the online staples site) and I was able to use the $5 coupon, so the total was $5 OOP, regular price is $20.
Hi. I signed up for the newsletter so that I could get the coupon for free admission to the Tacoma waterparks. I received a newsletter from them, but no coupon. Do you know if it takes more than a few days to receive it?
Hi April, I signed up too and have not received my tickets yet. My understanding of this deal is that you have until June 30th to sign up, and then they will be sending out the free tickets (so you should get them early in July). Nothing to worry about yet. I will keep you posted if I learn anything different.
Hi my name is Mark Brown and I’m an affiliate manager with savemore.com. I noticed you mentioned one of our deals and we really appreciate it. We have an affiliate program in place where I can give you a link and everytime you bring us business we will pay you a commission. Hi
I have a fun one for those who love free and Slurpees. Once again participating 7-Eleven stores will be giving away free 7.11 oz Slurpees on its birthday 7-11-11 all day- which is Monday. Enjoy
Stacia
Thanks Stacia! I will post this tip this weekend. My family loves to hit free slurpee day each year (just wish they gave you a bigger size is all…but can’t be greedy when its free). Thanks again! Sia
Hi Sia, I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I always love when you post about neat free things to do around Seattle.
I wanted to let you know about some of the free activities we are offering at Thrive, our naturopathic clinic in the Wallingford area of Seattle. We do a really fun family-friendly walk at Discovery Park focusing on Medicinal and Edible Plants, our next one is from 7-8 pm on Wednesday, July 20th.
We are also offering a bunch of interesting talks on various subjects such as natural ways to deal with stress, how to optimize sleep, preconception nutrition and treating high cholesterol without drugs.
If you think your other readers would be interested I would be honored if you would post about this on your blog. I can send you a complete list of our free talks and activities with dates and times.
Thank you again!
I just wanted to say that I have been trying for a week now to buy *anything* for $25 or less on MYHABIT with that coupon code. I try at exactly 9am…Literally waiting at my computer to get on the site right away. And EVERY single day EVERY single thing is sold out or “in members’ carts” as soon as I’m on! It’s impossible! If anyone out there has any luck, please let me know. It’s so frustrating… Thanks!
Susannah, Thanks for letting me know. I heard the same thing from a couple of other readers today on Facebook. I got my son some shorts no problem at all (I did pay $4 extra for them, and got them when the code first came out) so thought the deal was easy, but it seems that it has been harder then that for most. I will be sure to only post deals that are not close to selling out so that you have a chance of really getting any deals I post. Thanks again for the note, and best wishes with that code moving forward!

We’ve already launched “The Game” in New York, Vegas, LA, San Fran, Philly, Boston and Washington DC and have several other cities on the way (including Portland in the Northwest). We usually get great reviews from customers and we think the same will be true in Seattle.
We’re doing a free pre-launch trial/beta program and we’re giving away the tickets at: http://seattlethegamegiveaway.eventbrite.com/ While we will be charging for the event after we do our official launch (scheduled for next Thursday), it will be free for anyone who signs up before then. Hi
I’m moving to Seattle from LA and usually buy 4 papers a week here in LA for the coupon inserts. The LA Times often runs a special where you can get a one year subscription for $10 a year. Do you know if the Seattle Times does that too or something similar? Also I’ve heard rumors that the Seattle Times does not contain the Red Plum inserts. Is that true?
Thanks for your help
Emma
Hi Emma,
First off, welcome to Seattle. There are many great free resources in this area, so we are blessed that way.
It is true that the Seattle Times does not include the Red Plum (I get mine mailed directly to me, which makes it tougher to get multiples of this insert). Are you moving into Seattle city limits, or one of the surrounding areas? I ask because there are other local papers (Everett Herald on the north end and Tacoma Tribune on the sounth end for example. Currently they include the RP insert, but the Tacoma Tribune is currently in contract negotiations with them, so its up in the air right now). There are some great deals that become available from time to time on these papers. If you can confirm if you will be in Seattle city limits, or one of the out lying areas then I will send you some links to these deals.
Thanks, and you are welcome to email me directly at centsibleinseattle at gmail dot com if you have more questions. I will provide you with what info I have available.
Hi Sia,
I wanted to let you know about two terrific xmas card deals right now. The first is at Rite-Aid. 15 free 4×8 photo cards (no shipping if you pick up in store). Note, you must register with Rite-Aid (free) to use the code. http://mywayphotos.riteaid.com/home.aspx
The second is at Staples. 20 free 5×7 folded photo cards. You have to pay shipping if you make them online, but if you print this coupon and make your card in store (take a pic on a thumb drive with you) then they are absolutely free! The store will even ship them to your home address for no charge. Expires Nov 19. http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/marketing/coupons/15112_holiday/15586.html
I have personally done both deals in the last two days.
Hi Arial,
Thanks for the kind words, and fantastic tips! I will get those posted this morning, photo deals are especially great this time of year. Thanks so much for sharing

Not sure if you’ve already posted this, but OpenSky has a $10 credit just for signing up. I have made several purchases from them & love it!
Here’s the invite link: http://osky.co/tSPbNR
Thanks Cora. I have posted on OpenSky before but its been awhile, so great idea. I will try to let others know tomorrow. I too like to shop there, but I do not like the amount of emails they send me – one from each seller I think, I had to unsubscribe Thanks for the heads up.
Please let me introduce myself – My name is Kristin Wells, I am a SAHM of three kids. I spend a lot of time just doing things to keep our lives up and running, and try to also spend a 4-5 hours a week volunteering with local school activities. Pretty typical mom stuff, until recently. About a month ago, I ran across some information about a grant contest from Clorox, and decided to check it out. Turns out they give away money to schools for different programs up to $50,000. So I decided that I would give it a whirl, and the results have already exceeded my expectations. The grant that I wrote is to set up and create a summer camp program for kids in the Lake Stevens area, it would create scholarships for kids who can’t attend, and low cost admission for families in an area which really has little resources for kids in the summer.
Right now our proposal has the most votes in all of WA, OR and 16 (!) other states, it is amazing! We have been steadily climbing up the list, and are in 108th place out of 1622. Fantastic results, but not enough to win, yet. I realize that you might not live close enough to get your kids to this camp, but I believe that there are other mom’s out there who are working as hard as I am to make ends meet, and are willing to take a minute or two to help me out. Even if I can’t send every kid to a camp, I think that our region, our state deserves a win for our kids and for their education. We just can’t let this money go to California or Texas without fighting for it.
So here are the details, the money is awarded to the programs that receive the most votes. $50,000 goes to the 1st place winner, 2nd, 3rd and 4th get $25,000, and they award another $25,000 to a project of their choosing based on merit. If people want to take the time to go online and chose another school and vote for them I am completely OK with that – I just need to get people voting! Every email address and every cell phone can vote each day between now and December 9th – that is 13 more voting days!
Is it possible for you to share this information with your readers? I am having a very hard time publicizing this project, and am hoping that other moms out there will be willing to take 10 seconds to help me out!
Thank you so very much for your time, please contact me if you have any questions or ideas!

Sia,
Great deal came up today for AMC movie tickets from Costco. A ten pack is $62.99 with free shipping for members ($4 more for non-members – that’s what the slickdeals site says, you may want to confirm). They are also selling 2 packs for $12, but that’s in store only. The deal is only good for a couple of days while the instant rebate ($20 off of the original $82.99 pricetag) is going on. I just ordered 1 ten pack and it worked as described. Discount came off at checkout.

I just grabbed a deal & thought you may want to share it on the site.
Get $5 to spend at SweetJack here: http://www.citypockets.com/promo/share/2y4zfcz8wk?campaign_name=sweetjack_5_bucks
They don’t have a Seattle category yet, but am guessing they may in the future.

Thanks Cora. I have posted on OpenSky before but its been awhile, so great idea. I will try to let others know tomorrow. I too like to shop there, but I do not like the amount of emails they send me – one from each seller I think, I had to unsubscribe
Thanks for the heads up.

2. Go to http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=1428 login and vote
3. Repeat! Every email address and every cell phone can vote daily until December 9th!

Sia,
Great deal came up today for AMC movie tickets from Costco.

(You can also go to costco.com and search AMC)
Love your site. I check-in multiple times a day. Thanks for hunting down so many great deals!
